Frogtown Farm and St. Paul Tool Library are co-hosting a FREE raised garden bed workshop on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at the St. Paul Tool Library. Raised beds allow for easier access while gardening and help avoid weed or soil issues that may exist in in-ground beds. This workshop is a drop-in, come when you can event. We will not be building raised beds to take home at this workshop. Workshop participants will see three different raised bed designs, learn about construction options, and practice assembling a raised bed. We will discuss lumber and hardware options, how to source materials, and what materials to avoid. Participants will become familiar with the tools necessary to build their own raised beds. Miter saw demonstrations at 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30. Participants will leave with printed instructions. The St. Paul Tool Library is located at 755 Prior Ave N, Suite #009, St. Paul, MN 55104. Enter the building from the water tower parking lot. Free parking is available and there is no cost to participate.
